<p>Assignment 1, if you choose to accept, is the writing of your philosophy. A philosophy could be said to be a cohesive arrangement of everything which you think. Please include your thoughts on all of the bold parts (questions are included only as examples), either by touching upon them or going into great detail.

	<li><strong>Metaphysics</strong>: This means what you think about reality itself.
		<ul>
			<li>What makes man different from a chair? Is he just another monkey?
			<li>Is reality "real"? How do you know?
			<li>Does the mind create reality, or is it a means of discovering it?

	<li><strong>Epistemology</strong>: How does one gain knowledge?
		<ul>
			<li>Can you trust your senses? Is reasoning reliable?
			<li>What is science? What do you think of it? 
			<li>Is faith valuable, or is it a disease?
		</ul>
	<li><strong>Ethics</strong>: How do you make decisions?
		<ul>
			<li>What is your system for making moral choices?
			<li>Do good and evil really exist? What are they?
			<li>Does what you do really matter? Can you change the world?
		</ul>	
	
	<li><strong>Politics</strong>: How should a society make decisions?
		<ul>
			<li>What is the proper role of government?
			<li>Is freedom important in human society?
			<li>What societies in history have done poorly or well? Why?
		</ul>
	
	<li><strong>Aesthetics</strong>: 
		<ul>
			<li>What is beautiful?
			<li>Is it right for a person to devote their life to art?
			<li>Does man need art, or is it unimportant?
		</ul>
		
	<li><strong>Erotics</strong>: What is love?
		<ul>
			<li>What kind of person would you fall in love with? Why?
			<li>Is love good? Is it rational? Is it selfish, or selfless?
			<li>Are some loves more legitimate than others?
		</ul>	
	
	<li><strong>Purpose</strong>:
		<ul>
			<li>Do you think a life should have purpose?
			<li>What would a life devoid of purpose be like?
			<li>What are your longest-term ambitions in life, and what would you like to learn to do better each day?
		</ul>
		
	<li><strong>Applying Yourself</strong>:
		<ul>
			<li>Who is the ultimate person you want to be? How will you become it?
			<li>How would you like to be seen as by your friends or enemies?
			<li>What would you be doing right now if you had no fear or shame?
		</ul>
